Total Eren: sets up in Honduras with a wind project

(CercleFinance.com) – Total Eren announces its establishment in Honduras with
a first wind project, ‘San Marcos’, in the department of Choluteca.

This is one of the largest foreign investments in
a renewable energy project in Central America, assures Total Eren.

Total Eren has finalized and formalized the contractualisation of the new terms of the electricity sales contract for a period of 25 years concluded between the
Honduran national electricity company ENEE (Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica), and the project company ‘San Marcos Wind Energy’.

It will enable ENEE to benefit from the lowest electricity sales tariff from renewable sources in the country.

With a total capacity of 112 MW, the San Marcos wind project will eventually produce around 500 GWh per year.
