TOTALENERGIES ENDS ITS PURCHASES OF RUSSIAN OIL AND OIL PRODUCTS
PARIS (Reuters) – TotalEnergies announced on Tuesday that it was ending its purchases of oil and petroleum products from Russia and that it was beginning the gradual suspension of its activities in Russia while ensuring the safety of its personnel, at the most late at the end of 2022.
In a press release, the group said it was helping to ensure the security of the European continent’s energy supply, within the framework defined by the European authorities, and assured of its strict compliance with current and future sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia.
