TotalEnergies invites operators to responsibility

(Boursier.com) — In a statement released on October 9, TotalEnergies reaffirms its “complete mobilization to best supply its customers in France”. The group’s management explains that because of the social movement, TotalEnergies wishes to recall the conditions and the anticipated timetable for the ‘Mandatory annual negotiation’ while reaffirming its “attachment to social dialogue, with all the actors concerned and within bodies provided for this purpose”.

In the current context of strikes in the refineries, TotalEnergies calls for everyone to be responsible, so that the Company can ensure the supply of French people under the best possible conditions. Subject to the end of the blocking of deposits and the agreement of all the social partners, the company proposes to anticipate in October the ‘Mandatory annual negotiation’, which was scheduled for November.

“Just Reward”

These negotiations will make it possible to define how employees will be able to benefit, before the end of the year, from the exceptional results generated by TotalEnergies, while also taking into account inflation for the year 2022. TotalEnergies indeed wants all employees are given priority in the sharing of value and receive the fair reward for their efforts on their pay slips before the end of the year.

This calendar had been established in such a way as to give priority to the negotiation of the Professional Branch of the Petroleum Industries which ended on October 3, 2022, also in anticipation of the traditional calendar. This branch negotiation resulted in an agreement signed by the majority of the trade unions and provides for:
– an increase in conventional minimum wages of +4% in January 2023,
– an increase of +6.7% in the guaranteed minimum annual remuneration of the Professional Oil Branch, so as to position it 10% above the recently reassessed national minimum wage.

5,000 euros per month

TotalEnergies recalls that following an agreement signed in January 2022, the French employees of the Common Social Base of TotalEnergies benefited from salary measures representing an average increase of +3.5% in 2022, taking into account the year 2021. In addition, these same employees benefited in 2022 from a Average profit-sharing in the results of the company of 9,108 euros, with a minimum amount of 7,250 euros.

Thus, the average monthly remuneration of a TotalEnergies refinery operator in France in 2022 is 5,000 euros per month, profit-sharing included (4,300 euros per month excluding profit-sharing).

Finally, to help employees cope with the inflation created by the rise in energy prices, the Company has already taken the following measures this year:
– a credit of 150 euros in March 2022 for French employees subscribing to gas and electricity at TotalEnergies,
– an Energy bonus of 200 euros net in July 2022 for all employees.

The oil company is convinced that “the quality of the social dialogue undertaken with the representative bodies will continue in a constructive and beneficial spirit for the employees and calls on all of the company’s employees and social partners to show a spirit of responsibility for continue to carry out its mission of security of supply vis-à-vis French consumers”.
