(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces that it has carried out, with its partner, the shipping company CMA CGM, the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation from a ship to a container ship in the Port of Marseille Fos.
The CMA CGM BALI container ship, powered by LNG, is deployed on the MEX 1 line which connects Asia to southern Europe. It was refueled by the Gas Vitality of TotalEnergies, the first LNG refueling vessel based in France, with approximately 6,000 m3 of LNG.
This bunkering was carried out by means of a ship-to-ship transfer at the Eurofos container terminal, while the container ship carried out the container loading and unloading operations simultaneously.
