TotalEnergies: new storage project in Belgium after that in Antwerp




(Boursier.com) — On the occasion of the visit of the Belgian Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten to the construction site of the battery storage project at the Antwerp refinery of TotalEnergies, the Company announces the development of a second similar project in Belgium.

This new project will be developed on the site of the TotalEnergies depot in Feluy. It will have a power of 25 MW and a capacity of 75 MWh thanks to the 40 “Intensium Max High Energy” lithium-ion containers supplied by Saft. Commissioning is planned for the end of 2025.

With these two projects, which represent a total investment of nearly 70 ME, TotalEnergies’ storage capacity in Belgium will reach 50 MW / 150 MWh.
