(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies reports that its variable cost margin, refining Europe (refining margin), fell to 99.2 dollars per ton in the third quarter of 2022, against 145.7 dollars in the previous quarter, but 46.3 dollars over the first three months of the year.
As a reminder, this margin is equal to the difference between the sales of refined products made by the European refinery of TotalEnergies and the purchases of crude oil with the associated variable costs, divided by the quantities refined in tonnes.
In addition, the energy group specifies that over the past quarter, the average price of a barrel of Brent came out at 100.8 dollars per barrel ($/b), the average price of sales of liquids at 93.6 $/b, that of gas at $16.83/Mbtu and that of LNG at $21.51/Mbtu.
