TotalEnergies: signs a contract for the Agua Marinha block


(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies has signed a production sharing contract for the Agua Marinha block in Brazil.

Agua Marinha is a 1,300 km² exploration block located in the pre-salt Campos basin, south of the Marlim Sul fields, approximately 140 km from the Brazilian coast.

The work program includes an exploration well to be drilled during the exploration period.

‘The signing of this contract for Agua Marinha allows TotalEnergies to expand its presence in the promising area of ​​the pre-salt basin of Campos, alongside its three strategic partners. We look forward to exploring this block and commencing drilling of the Touro prospect’, said Kevin McLachlan, Exploration Director at TotalEnergies.

TotalEnergies will hold a 30% stake in the block, alongside operator Petrobras (30%), QatarEnergy (20%) and PPBL (20%).
