PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The energy producer TotalEnergies and its partners announced on Friday that they have signed an exploration and production sharing contract with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman relating to Block 11, located ashore.
As part of the first phase of this contract, a seismic acquisition campaign will take place at the end of 2022, followed by the drilling of a first exploration well planned for 2023.
TotalEnergies will hold a 22.5% stake in this block, alongside OQ (10%) and Shell (67.5%, operator). Block 11 combines undeveloped discoveries and exploration potential.
In 2021, TotalEnergies production in Oman was 39,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
