(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces the start of production on the Eldfisk North project, in the North Sea, ahead of the initial schedule thanks to effective cooperation between the various partners.
Indeed, when the Norwegian authorities approved the Development and Operation Plan for the Eldfisk North project in December 2022, the start of production was planned for the second quarter of 2024.
‘This is a great example of a short cycle project that was carried out safely and ahead of the initial plan. The Eldfisk North project makes it possible to produce additional reserves while benefiting from the production capacities of existing infrastructures in the Ekofisk area’ declared Jean-Luc Guiziou Director of Exploration & Production Europe.
The project will produce 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day at the plateau and utilizes available capacity at Eldfisk’s facilities for hydrocarbon processing and transportation.
