(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces the start of production at the Tyra offshore complex, located in the Danish North Sea, following the completion of a major redevelopment project of the facilities.
Tyra will produce 5.7 million cubic meters of gas and 22,000 barrels of condensate per day, allowing Denmark to be self-sufficient and once again become a net exporter of natural gas.
TotalEnergies operates the Tyra field on behalf of the Danish Underground Consortium, a partnership between TotalEnergies (43.2%), BlueNord (36.8%) and Nordsøfonden (20%).
‘The new Tyra implements digital solutions and technological innovations allowing it to produce more efficiently and with greenhouse gas emissions down 30% compared to old installations,’ declared Nicolas Terraz, General Manager Exploration -TotalEnergies production.
‘The resumption of gas production at Tyra also strengthens security of supply in Europe. ‘
Gas from the Tyra hub is exported to Europe via two pipelines arriving in Nybro (Denmark) and Den Helder (Netherlands).
