(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces that it has successfully started the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at a new site in Normandy, thus supplementing its SAF production capacities at La Mède (Bouches-du-Rhône). ) and Oudalle (Seine-Maritime).
TotalEnergies announces that it is now able to meet the demand of its customers and French legislation, which sets a rate of incorporation of 1% of sustainable air biofuels in the SAF since January 1, 2022.
TotalEnergies will also produce SAF from its zero-oil platform at Grandpuits (Seine-et-Marne) from 2024.
All of these sustainable air biofuels, intended for French airports, will be produced from waste and residues, notably from the circular economy.
