(Reuters) – TotalEnergies announced on Monday that it has received the necessary environmental authorizations from the Spanish authorities for the construction of 48 solar farms for a total capacity estimated at 3 gigawatts (GW).
The power plant projects, the first of which should start from 2024, will be developed in the community of Madrid, the region of Murcia, Castile-La Mancha, Andalusia and Aragon, and will generate around 6,000 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean energy per year, the group said in a statement.
