New week and new predictions for TOTW 16 Team of the Week EA FC 24. As usual, EA will offer new IF cards following the results of the best professional players from last week. As a reminder, the five major women’s leagues are taken into account in the TOTW while the cards are now all 80 or more in overall rating. The developments are also more marked than in FIFA 23, making it possible to give more interest to these cards.
We therefore present to you our predictions for the new cards which will be available in the packs from Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Team Goalkeeper of the Week 16
Elia Caprile, Empoli, Serie A
We don’t like to place a player from the same league two weeks in a row but the options are relatively limited outside of Serie A. So, our prediction for this TOTW 16 is Elia Caprile. The Italian goalkeeper had a great match against Cagliari, even taking a penalty to preserve the point in the 0-0 draw. Although a silver card, Caprile seems the ideal choice, especially at a time when EA seems to be okay with lower TOTW.
Defender Predictions
Konstantinos Mavropanos, West Ham, Premier League
What a catastrophic end to the season for Arsenal who saw their lead completely disappear in the Premier League. The fault in particular was a 2-0 defeat against West Ham despite some very solid situations of dominance for the Gunners. However, it was the Hammers who won the three points thanks in particular to Mavropanos, the former Arsenal player having scored a goal to seal the outcome of the match.
Joao Mario, Porto, Liga NOS
We repeat it often but EA loves players who have been decisive during the week in order to build their list. Here, it will be difficult to do better than Joao Mario, the FC Porto defender scored the only goal of the match against Chaves. A crucial victory for the club in order to stay within reach of the title, this goal is therefore a major point of the season for Porto and Joao Mario. A good base in its Gold version, the Portuguese player could become a super TOTW, ideal for future developments.
The Fields
Phil Foden, Manchester City, Premier League
Although De Bruyne is back on the field, it is still a clever mix of City players who replaces the Belgian genius. This week, Phil Foden stood out as a game creator for the Citizens. The young English player was very successful in this role, with two assists against Sheffield. The promoted side therefore lost 2 to 0 against a City still far from their level of last year. As far as Foden is concerned, the latter has still not been able to be improved through an evolution.
Rafa, Benfica, Liga NOS
Second in the Portuguese ranking, Benfica was able to count on an excellent match from Rafa. The attacking midfielder was present on every goal of the match, combining a goal and two assists for a clear 3-0 success. Interesting on his evolution with the Founder version, Rafa could here approach a Meta option via a good boost. Better still, it has the potential to become an excellent basis for future development.
Which Attackers in TOTW 16?
Sadio Mane, AL-Nassr, Saudi League
While quite a few European championships are on break, the Saudi League continues to offer great posters. One of the most popular clubs to watch is none other than Al-Nassr, due to their formidable attack. This time it was Mané who stood out, with two goals and an assist in the club’s big 5-2 victory against Al-Itthiah. Note, however, that this IF should not be extremely desired, due in particular to a somewhat weak base card and the presence of a special 89 version.
Cole Palmer, Chelsea, Premier League
Aligned as an attacker as in an attacking midfielder and sometimes on the wings this season, Cole Palmer is a bit of a handyman for Chelsea. Better still, he is very often the decisive player, notably with 4 goals and 2 assists during the month of December. Ahead of a likely nomination for POTM in the Premier League, Palmer could land his first TOTW. Indeed, the young Englishman was involved in 2 goals and 1 assist against Luton. Without being Meta, this IF could have an interest via developments.
Cards that could appear in TOTW 16
Here we list players who have a chance of appearing there but who, for various reasons, should miss EA’s selection. The point of listing these cards is to protect yourself from an investment point of view (see below) and thus potentially take some risks on less expected players.

How to get TOTW cards on EA FC 24?
TOTW cards are often interesting at high level but also for DCEs as well as for achieving specific objectives in friendly match mode. Therefore, even on players whose overall rating would be quite low, it is necessary to know how to obtain these TOTW cards on EA Sports FC 24.
The first source is obviously the transfer market, where you can find a player’s TOTW cards in special versions of their cards. Be careful though because IF cards sell for much more than the basic version. This is explained in particular by their rarity but also by the fact that the base price (in discards) is already quite high.
A second source remains Gold packs of the game, who have these special cards for a week (from Wednesday to the following Wednesday at 7 p.m.). Be careful because once this week has passed, it will be impossible to drop them in packs.
Finally, specific TOTW Packs will be present during the season in DCEalthough the latter are often unprofitable because they are completely random.
Investments linked to TOTW predictions on EA Sports FC 24
If the cards of the players selected in the Team of the Week are often good sources of investment, it is also possible to earn credits via the TOTW. Indeed, there are several methods for speculating on the market.
Thus, the simplest and most regular consists of bet on the normal Gold cards of current TOTW players. These are not present in the packs during the week, limiting the quantity of cards. If a player is looking to use these cards for DCEs or for their team, prices can rise sharply. So buy the cards in anticipation of this rise, speculating on TOTW’s predictions. This technique is called OOP (Out of Packs, understand outside of Packs) and also works for special cards in events. The more specific the card (major league, nation and rare position), the greater its potential. For example, a player like Jonathan Claus is very interesting because he is French, from Ligue 1 and in a relatively rare DD position on a Gold card. Therefore, his price in Gold version could easily triple in OOP.
Furthermore, another method is to analyze future good TOTW cards and thus speculate on cards related to them. For example, if Haaland receives a Team of the Week card, it’s likely that players will look to include him in their FUT roster. Thus, they will also seek to link this new card with other Premier League players, Man City players or even Norwegian players in order to create the best possible links. It is therefore possible to invest in cards allowing perfect links, just before the release of the new Team of the Week. This technique could become much more interesting given EA’s desire to make TOTW more Meta throughout the season.
Note that these two strategies require anticipating the market but also finding the right timing. Often, the cards to buy rise quickly, so you need to plan in advance who to buy. In addition, this period of increase will not last long, so it is necessary to play for a few days and quickly sell your cards.
