Touax: in accelerated profitability mode in the first half

Touax moved up a gear in the first half, recording a marked acceleration in its profitability over the first six months of the year.

The logistics specialist reported last night an operating result (EBITDA) up 38% to 29.5 million euros over the half, driven by its activities in containers and freight wagons.

The group explains that these activities have proven to be very dynamic in the current context of temporary disruptions in the global maritime freight market.

Net profit attributable to the group stands at 7.6 million euros, a level almost four times higher than the results recorded over the same period last year.

In its press release, Touax explains these “good results” by the significant increase in its rental income in 2022 under the effect of the long-term contracts signed with its customers, which allows it to sustain its income over the long term and to validate its strategy of long-term rental.

Income withdrawn from activities in the first half thus reached 78.3 million euros, compared to 52.5 million euros over the same period of 2021, an increase of 49%.

Listed on the Paris Bourse, the Touax share rose by 4.2% in the wake of this publication.
