Toulouse: three police officers injured after refusing to comply

A man was arrested after evading a traffic check on Wednesday in Toulouse, learned Le Figaro from a police source, confirming information from The Dispatch.

The facts go back to the beginning of the afternoon and find their nature in an automobile dispute. Two motorists came into contact, prompting the arrival of the police. One of the two drivers then suddenly restarted his vehicle, deliberately driving towards the police. They then opened fire several times in the direction of the vehicle, causing it to stop immediately and the arrest of its two occupants.

The driver known for ‘traffic history’

Three police officers were slightly injured, including one in the knee, according to a source familiar with the matter. The two drivers arrested were not injured. Contacted, the Toulouse prosecutor’s office confirmed to Figaro arrest and custody of the two suspects.

One of them, aged 20, is known to the police for “road history“. The prosecution indicated that he would soon be brought before a magistrate and should be summoned for a hearing in immediate appearance, in particular for acts of “refusal to comply“, of “violence against a person holding public authority“, of “driving without a license” and of “death threats“. His passenger, a 21-year-old woman with no criminal record, should also appear in immediate appearance for “death threats” and “degradation“.
