11 a.m.: AG2R Citroën, a week in hell

10:30 a.m.: Profile, timetables… What you need to know about the 9th stage
After the start given near the headquarters of the International Cycling Union (UCI), the race runs along Lake Geneva and passes through the tourist valley of Gruyère to attack the Col des Mosses (2nd category) then the Col de la Croix, a steeper climb classified in 1st category (8.1 km at 7.6%).
The Tour route passes through Aigle again to tackle the long ascent of the Pas de Morgins (15.4 km at 6.1%, 1st category). “A breakaway made up of good climbers has every chance of going all the way”, predicts race director Thierry Gouvenou for the end of this stage, a descent into the Abondance valley followed by a 4 kilometer climb, often on a false flat, above Châtel.
Schedules:
– Departure from Aigle at 12:30 p.m. (launched at 12:45 p.m.)
– Arrival in Châtel around 5:44 p.m. (timetable calculated at an average speed of 39 km/h)
