PARIS (Reuters) – Seven lines will be closed on Thursday in the Paris metro and traffic will be “very severely disrupted” in the RER in Ile-de-France due to a day of mobilization at the RATP, the transport authority announced on Tuesday. Parisians.
In updated forecasts, the RATP specifies that traffic will be completely interrupted on lines 2, 3bis, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 12.
Traffic will be “severely disrupted” with lines partially open only during peak hours (7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. / 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and stations closed on lines 3, 4, 6, 7, 7bis, 9 and 13.
Traffic will be normal on lines 1 and 14, with “a risk of saturation”.
One in three trains will run on average on the RER A, with one in two during peak hours and one in four during off-peak hours.
On the RER B, one train out of two is planned, with one train out of three at off-peak hours.
Two out of three buses will run on average, adds the RATP.
The call to strike by the CGT, Force Ouvrière (FO), Unsa, La Base and Solidaires within the RATP responds to the slogan “zero metro, zero RER”.
The unions of the management, whose movement is part of a day of interprofessional strikes at the national level at the call of the CGT for wage increases, intend to denounce their working conditions, a lack of staff and demand revaluations wages.
