Toyota drastically reduces the price of its BZ4X, the only 100% electric car in its catalog

Toyota’s BZ4X SUV has just seen its price drop by €11,000 on the Pure Business and Origin finishes. The four-wheel drive model therefore costs €46,900, while the starting price increases to €34,900. A price which nevertheless does not make it eligible for the ecological bonus, the vehicle being assembled outside the European Union.

The Toyota BZ4X has had a tumultuous history. The Japanese manufacturer has long dragged its feet regarding the development of a 100% electric model, the firm’s management being skeptical about the prospects of this type of vehicle. So it was willy-nilly that the BZ4X saw the light of day amid a slew of problems. While the tests carried out by journalists were in full swing around the world, Toyota detected tightening problems with the wheel nuts and airbags. The manufacturer therefore launched a recall campaign and suspended deliveries. Rest assured, everything is back to normal. However, there remained one last thorn in the tire of the electric SUV: its price.

The Japanese electric SUV remained far too expensive in the face of fierce competition, which regularly drove home the point by reducing its prices. The answer is finally here: with a reduction of up to €11,000 on certain finishes, the prices of the BZ4X are finally becoming acceptable. Especially since metallic paint is now standard, regardless of the color chosen. Which gives the following configurations:

BZ4X Pure Business: €34,900
BZ4X Origin 2WD: €38,900
BZ4X Origin AWD: €41,900
