(CercleFinance.com) – Toyota Motor Corporation announces that the group’s total sales reached 917,747 units in December 2022, a decline of 1.7% compared to December 2021.
Between December 2021 and December 2022, global sales of the Toyota brand fell by 1.4% (to 839,299 units), as did those of Daihatsu (-2.2%, to 65,491 units) and Hino (- 13.8%, to 12,957 units).
The group also saw its overall production drop by 11.2% between December 2021 and December 2022, to 841,461 units produced. The Toyota brand produced 695,433 vehicles (-13.2%), Daihatsu 130,965 vehicles (+0.3%) and Hino 15,063 vehicles (-7.7%).
Finally, exports fell by 20.5%, to 140,134 units, with a decline in exports at Toyota (-21.2%, to 134,030 units) and an increase of 1% at Hino, to 6,104 units.
