(CercleFinance.com) – Toyota France announces that it has registered 113,032 vehicles on the French market in 2022. Its two brands, Toyota and Lexus, obtained a PC market share of 6.8%, an increase of 0.7 points.
In a French market down 10 points, Toyota brand PC and LCV registrations increased by 3.6% in 2022 and reached 109,776 units
Toyota is now the 1st foreign brand in France overall and the 4th brand on the retail channel with a historic market share of 7.9% (+0.5 points compared to 2021).
These performances are based in particular on the launch of the new Aygo X with 10,313 registrations and a market share of 12.7% in the A segment.
Frank Marotte, Chairman and CEO of Toyota France said: ‘The strength of our products is at its highest thanks to the support of key models such as the Yaris Hybrid, the Yaris Cross Hybrid and the Aygo X and allows us to move up to 4th place in the ranking by brand on the consumer channel, with a historic market share of 7.9%’.
