At the controls of a new, unpublished issue of Touche pas à mon poste on Monday September 19, 2022 on C8, Cyril Hanouna has put his chroniclers to work in order to make fun of the TF1 group, currently in conflict with the Canal + group.
After a well-deserved weekend of rest, Cyril Hanouna was back on air C8 Monday, September 19, 2022. The host was at the helm of a new edition of Do not touch My TV broadcast live. As usual, Cyril Hanouna was accompanied by his band of columnists, among whom we could find Benjamin CastaldiGuillaume Genton, Géraldine Maillet, Matthieu Delormeau, or even Kelly Vedovelli. That day, everyone around the table was called upon to shoot a short parody video.
To start, Cyril Hanouna spoke of the failure of the merger between the groups TF1 and M6. While the two private television companies wanted to join forces, in order to create a juggernaut capable of competing with American streaming platforms on the market, the competition authority has shown itself to be quite reluctant to this project. Even though TF1 and M6 had planned to sell several chains, only the sale of TF1 or of M6 could have made the competition authority change its mind. Consequently, the two groups have announced the termination of their merger process. Afterwards, Cyril Hanouna continued by talking about the conflict between TF1 at Canal+ for a few weeks now.
Cyril Hanouna defends the Canal+ group in its dispute against the TF1 group
As a reminder, the group Canal+ decided to cut the signal from the band’s channels TF1 for its subscribers, following the failure of negotiations for a new distribution contract. While the audiences of the first channel are affected by this decision, the management decided to put its animators to work to shoot a video. In this one, the faces of TF1 explain to viewers how to receive the group’s channels without going through Canal+. working for the group Canal+, Cyril Hanouna strongly defended the decision of his leaders on the air. Subsequently, he openly mocked the hosts of TF1 by broadcasting a parody of their video, in which he invites viewers not to watch group channels TF1 alongside its columnists. It now remains to be seen what the reaction of the first channel will be.
