TPMP People: Why Laurent Fontaine no longer intervenes in the show
This Saturday, April 2, many viewers were surprised by the absence of Laurent Fontaine on the set of TPMP People. Matthieu Delormeau explained it with a reason that couldn’t be more logical.
At the helm of TPMP People every Saturday, Matthieu Delormeau serves as the perfect replacement for Cyril Hanouna, which takes care of the presentation of the show every day of the week. It must be said that the 48-year-old host, who had taken a sabbatical year between 2020 and 2021 to “live new projects on television” made a fanfare return to the C8 antenna thanks to his sensational statements and well-received stories.
This Saturday, April 2, Matthieu Delormeau was surrounded by Isabelle Morini-Bosc, Florian Anselme, Deborah Tordjman, Jean-Michel Maire as well as Hugo Manos. You would have understood it, there was a notable absentee this Saturday on the set of TPMP People: Laurent Fontaine. And if many viewers have asked the question, the answer is simple: it’s a question of speaking time, while the first round of the presidential election will take place next Sunday.
Matthieu Delormeau: “Laurent Fontaine’s return is coming soon”
Matthieu Delormeau explained it this way on his Twitter account: “This week, you say a word: ‘Macron’, poof, I just said it, it’s a second less. And Laurent Fontaine, he spoke a little bit politically, so at the moment, until the elections, I can no longer have my Lolo“. To make up for the lack of support from Emmanuel Macron “for reasons of CSA speaking time”, he was replaced by Afida Turner. But one thing is certain: the latter is not so unanimous. A bit of patience.
