Husband arrested
The body of the 36-year-old was discovered in the apartment. Because the police found injuries to the victim’s neck, the case was immediately classified as a “serious fatality”. An autopsy was ordered, the husband (44) – a Serbian citizen – was arrested as a suspect. His questioning is ongoing.

Libertarians are calling for criminal law reform
“We have been calling for concrete steps such as criminal law reform for a long time,” said FPÖ General Secretary Michael Schnedlitz in view of the suspected murder case in Simmering. “How many more women have to die before this Minister of the Interior finally takes his hat and acts at the same time?”
