Toni Braxton’s sister Traci Braxton has died at the age of 50. In a statement, the family says goodbye.

Toni Braxton (54, “Un-Break My Heart”) has to cope with the death of her sister Traci, who died at the age of 50. At Instagram the singer released a family statement this Saturday (March 12), “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Traci. She was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, Grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”

Family wants to “celebrate their life”

Traci Braxton’s husband Kevin Surratt explained in a statement for TMZthat his wife had undergone a series of treatments for her cancer over the past year. Traci Braxton died this morning, “when the snow fell, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that our privacy be respected as we plan to say goodbye to her with love and celebrate her life,” the post reads by Toni Braxton on. The musician has three other sisters, Towanda, 48, Trina, 47, and Tamar, 44, and a brother, Michael Conrad Braxton Jr., 53.

Traci Braxton was a singer, actress and radio show host. She was also seen in the reality series “Braxton Family Values” (2011-2020), in which the sisters were accompanied in their everyday lives. She leaves behind her husband and a son.
