Trackmania: 3 years later, the last free-to-play episode confirmed on consoles

It was on July 1, 2020 that PC gamers could officially download Trackmaniaa free-to-play whose bases are modeled on the content of Trackmania Nations. We didn’t think about it anymore, but Ubisoft has prepared a console port of the title, which it officially unveiled during theUbisoft Forward this week-end.

It is therefore at the beginning of 2023 that Trackmania will land on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Stadia and Amazon Luna, with from cross playof the cross progression and all the content of the PC version accessible from the start, including the more than 280,000 circuits created by the community. Future updates and premium content will then be common to all platforms.

Originally released in 2020 on PC, Trackmania stands out for its short obstacle courses and community involvement, which constantly motivates you to reach the finish line as quickly (and imaginatively) as possible. At the same time, you can design your own tracks and share them with other players. Console and cloud players will join a community of over 10 million users and will be able to access new seasonal campaigns every three months.

If Trackmania is playable for free, you can also subscribe to one of the two premium plans which will give you access to regular events, including the Cup of the day, as well as social features: form clubs, create and share personalizations of car, find yourself in private rooms and even create new campaigns and competitions.

It’s a safe bet that purists will prefer to continue setting their best times on a personal computer, but this should delight weekend pilots and amateurs of free-to-play.
