TrackMania and CSGO: France will host two major events in 2023 and 2024

As previously announced, France will indeed organize one of the Majors of CS:GO on its soil, a promise from Emmanuel Macron who wanted to make the country even more recognized in international esports. While the gaming scene was already making headlines worldwide with its Z Event 2022 (and a new record), the French president has again published a video to thank the commitment of the streamers but also to make this announcement.

In addition to this Major, another major event for esports will land in 2024: the first TrackMania Games will be held in two years at a location that has yet to be revealed. For the CS:GO competition, it will be the very first organized in France.

The BLAST immediately confirmed its desire to come to France for the competition. From May 8 to 21, 2023, the organizer will set up shop in Paris for the Major, but not only. On France InfoRobbie Douek, the boss of BLAST explains that he wants to go around France:

A Major lasts a few weeks, we have the opportunity to really make this format travel… the final will be in Paris and we are delighted to do this at the Accor Hotel Arena in Bercy, but we really want to activate all of France. .. From North to South, East to West, we are really open to everything.

The organization which also admits to having considered with interest the offer and the will of President Macron, which prompted the leaders to contact the Elysée and the city of Paris. At a reception with Zerator and other gaming and esports influencers last June, he announced the 2024 Olympics as a high point.

The 2024 Olympics can be an opportunity to set very important objectives and to use this event to mobilize French and international esports. We will work together. The objective is that between now and 2024 we manage to have major international events.
