Nadeo and Ubisoft’s title will be available for free on almost all consoles next year.
TrackMania news has been busy this weekend. First during the Z Event 2022, where the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron took the opportunity to formalize the arrival of a major event in France for 2024, namely the TM Games during the Paris Olympics.. Then because during the Ubisoft Forward, the studio publisher of the franchise revealed the arrival of the title on Xbox consoles, on PS4, PS5 and certain cloud gaming platforms (Stadia, Luna, etc.) from 2023.
As part of this launch, Trackmania will remain free-to-play for everyone and will add cross-play and cross-progression to be able to play online with all new users. Game content and official races will be the same for all platforms. The title, which already has more than 10 million players, should see a rebound in popularity with this arrival consoles.
Thanks to the arrival of Trackmania on consoles and cloud gaming platforms, the gaming community, which already has more than 10 million players, will welcome new ones so that everyone can enjoy all the features the game has to offer. Players will be able to compete on the approximately 280,000 tracks created by players since the release of Trackmania two years ago. They will have the possibility to team up with their friends in the Royal and Ranked game modes, but also to take advantage of new official seasonal campaigns added every 3 months, or to discover the editor of circuits which will allow them to let free course to their imagination by providing them with thousands of blocks and objects to create the most extraordinary circuits.
The new supports will also offer players the premium passes already available on PC, with all the associated options. Finally, on the novelty side, Trackmania will introduce a “new feature which will allow players to display their skills in a unique way as they will be able to unlock upgradable car skins based on their driving skills and success in certain parts of the game”.
