The famous car game, made even more popular by the various competitions organized by ZeratoR, Trackmania, will be invited on Steam. This is not surprising if you have followed the recent news of games published and/or developed by Ubisoft, given that the studio is gradually migrating its library to the Valve platform.
Trackmania soon available on Steam
In the case of Trackmania, it is this February 2 that it will be playable through Steam. It comes after a few hits from Ubisoft, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, The Division 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint or Watch Dogs Legion.
We have not had any real explanations for this reversal of situation and policy, but there is no doubt that this is done with a view to increasing the visibility and availability of its productions. Despite the immense success of Valhalla, and Far Cry 6, Ubisoft failed to appeal to many gamers with its lesser games, forcing the studio to revise its plans and cancel several games, including the notorious Project Q. may the future be brighter, especially with the highly anticipated Skull & Bones and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
To go back to Trackmania, know that the basic experience is free, but you will have to pay to take advantage of more things, in particular seasonal content or the “Club” functionality. In addition to this port on Steam, the arrival of Trackmania on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series is also scheduled for the start of 2023.
