Tractor tipped over – trailer “pushed”: Styrian injured in accident

The fact that the trailer “pushed” when driving downhill caused a tractor combination to fall near Kirchbach today – the driver, a 27-year-old Styrian, was seriously injured.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. in Pirching am Traubenberg, Southeast Styria district: A farmer was in the process of removing wood from the forest, using a tractor and trailer. When driving downhill, the team was likely to have become too fast, the heavily loaded trailer pushed against the towing vehicle, causing the Styrian to lose control and both units to be thrown to the side. Witnesses are likely to have observed what was happening and alerted help. The 27-year-old became Seriously injured in the accident and brought to the LKH Graz by the rescue helicopter.
