US singer Tracy Chapman will reportedly perform her 1980s smash hit “Fast Car” as a duet at the Grammys.

The legendary singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman (59) has not been seen on stage for several years. This will change in spectacular fashion at the 2024 Grammy Awards on February 5th. How The magazine “Variety” learned that she is said to be performing her 1988 hit “Fast Car” live on stage as a duet with country singer Luke Combs (33) at the 66th ceremony of the most important US music award in Los Angeles to give the best.

Unexpected landing in the country charts

In the summer of 2023, Combs’ cover of the song stormed to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts. Much to Chapman’s surprise, this made her the first black woman to be the sole songwriter on a number one country hit.
