Trade in concern – Lockdown threatens a loss of 90 million euros

With these numbers, there is no Christmas mood: According to an analysis by the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, trade in Burgenland is losing around 90 million euros in gross sales due to the lockdown and its consequences. “In order to prevent the very worst, however, every single consumer can make a contribution by buying Christmas gifts not from international online retailers, but from regional suppliers,” appeals division chairwoman Andrea Gottweis. She hopes that many customers will “Click & Collect” where you can view the goods on the website, order by phone or email and then pick them up on site.
