The Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has actually introduced a new smartphone. The mid-range cell phone HTC Desire 22 Pro wants to position itself as a VR companion with a crypto function. The mobile phone is also coming onto the market in Germany.

HTC Desire 22 Pro: New mid-range cell phone presented

HTC has announced a new smartphone after a long time. According to the manufacturer it should Desire 22 Pro an “ideal companion” for the in-house Metaverse Viverse and work well with the VR glasses Vive Flow. Ethereum and Polygon-based cryptocurrencies can also be stored in the Vive wallet.

The display of the smartphone offers a diagonal of 6.6 inches and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. HTC specifies the resolution as 2412×1080 pixels. The manufacturer has placed the fingerprint scanner in the power button.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro is a 5G Cell Phone, which uses the Snapdragon 695 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The manufacturer has not announced any other variants.

The battery of the smartphone comes to a 4,520mAh capacity and can be charged with 18 watts via Quick Charge 3.0. Wireless and reverse charging are also supported. The cell phone weighs 206 grams with dimensions of 166.3 x 76.9 x 9.4 mm

There are three cameras on the back with 64, 13 and 5 MP resolution. There is no optical image stabilization. Selfies are possible with 32 MP.

New HTC cell phone not yet available for sale

HTC has not yet given a specific date for the launch of the smartphone. A price for the German market has not yet been communicated either. In the British HTC shop, the Desire 22 Pro is already available for the equivalent of 462 euros in advance available.
