Drivers had to be patient in early morning traffic on Wednesday. A Ukrainian truck driver (40) touched a concrete barrier on the A13 at the exit to Wipptalerhof. The result was the leakage of oil and diesel, which meant that only one of the three lanes could be used.
The 40-year-old drove the truck south on the A13 at around 7:20 a.m. “At the exit to the Wipptalerhof, the driver touched a concrete guide wall. As a result, the side of the truck was severely damaged and the tank was torn open, ”the police said.
Two lanes blocked
A considerable amount of oil and diesel subsequently spread over a large area on two lanes, which is why only the third lane was difficult to pass. There were disabilities and a backlog.
The volunteer fire brigades Matrei and Steinach as well as the Asfinag and the motorway maintenance depot Plon were in action.
