May 16 (Reuters) – Aéroports de Paris and Vinci each recorded an increase in air traffic at their French airports in April, but the number of travelers remains significantly below levels before the coronavirus crisis, according to figures published on Monday by both groups.
The ADP group posted an increase in traffic, with 6.9 million passengers welcomed at its various sites in the Paris region, i.e. 70.8% of traffic in April 2019, almost a year before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19. The Paris Aéroport brand, created by the group in April 2016, brings together the Paris-Orly, Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris-Le Bourget sites.
With regard to Vinci, owner of 12 airports in France, traffic has been multiplied by 6.5 in one year, but it remains down 29% compared to the same period in April 2019.
Across all of its sites, in France and abroad, ADP reports an increase in total traffic with 20.6 million passengers in April, i.e. 74.4% of that of April 2019.
