To close Plus belle la vie as it should, the screenwriters had the idea of bring back old historical figures of the soap opera, but also to kill one of the most iconic faces of the series. Indeed, the character of Roland Marci, interpreted since the first episode of the soap opera by actor Michel Cordes, is deceased in the episode aired Monday, October 3, 2022 on France 3. As a sign of fate, another emblematic figure of fiction is also dead, but for real. According to the death notice published in the regional newspaper Free lunch Sunday, October 2, 2022, Bénédicte Achard passed away. The latter was one of the co-creators of Plus belle la vie alongside Magaly Richard-Serrano, Georges Desmouceaux and Olivier Szulzynger.

The end of Plus belle la vie is getting closer with great strides on France 3. Launched on the antenna of the public channel in 2004, the series became one of the most popular shows on French television for many years. However, after about 4,500 episodesthe daily soap opera will end in November 2022, thus putting an end to 18 years of broadcasting on the air. As a reminder, the decision to stop the production of Plus belle la vie was taken by France Télévisions, because of the gradual decline in audiences series for several years.
