Tragic discovery! The body of Naomi, 18, missing since mid-March, has been found


Wanted for two weeks to have been kidnapped in the United States, the young Naomi was found dead, as announced by the authorities on Wednesday, March 30.

A tragic end. Naomi Iriona young American who had been actively sought for two weeks, was found dead this Tuesday, March 29, US authorities announced on Wednesday. The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office in Nevada said they followed a lead to the possible whereabouts of the victim. When they arrived there, they discovered the body of the 18-year-old young womanand were quickly able to confirm that it was indeed her.

A suspect has been arrested in this case. It is Troy Driver, a 41-year-old man. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping. He had been filmed by supermarket surveillance cameras entering his victim’s car. His bail was set at $750,000.

A suspect already known to justice

Naomi was in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Fernley on March 12 when she mysteriously vanished. The young woman was waiting for a shuttle that was to take her to her place of work. But in CCTV footage, she can be seen being grabbed by a man and forced into the passenger seat of his car. The individual then fled with her. Naomi’s phone was geolocated about 10 minutes from the parking lot on State Route 427 before it was turned off.

Troy Driver was already known to the police. The man had previously served a prison sentence, notably for complicity in murder. According to the Ukia Daily Journal, he pleaded guilty in 1997 to robbery, accessory to murder, burglary and possession of firearms. Aged 17 at the time, he had helped get rid of the body of a man, a methamphetamine dealer, shot dead by his own girlfriend, in California.
