A leader in its category, Dovetail Games continues the maniacal refinement of its railway saga with a third iteration that intends to take immersion to the next level. In addition to a new lighting system and skies with volumetric clouds, this third opus will plunge us into the heart of dynamic and capricious weather conditions, such as snow or storms, but above all, the great nemesis of any railway worker: the nest of dead leaves, which can make the maneuver dangerous on the tracks.
Anxious to open up to new audiences, the game will also include a new initiation mode for beginners, as well as a Training Center, to test the driving of our machines on a new dedicated course.
At its output, Train Sim World 3 will have three basic routes and new dedicated devices: the Cajon Pass in California (where the longest freight trains in America run), the Kassel-Würtzburg route to test the performance of the German ICE high-speed train, and finally the Southeastern Highspeed, the line joining London and its southern suburbs at the controls of the Javelin. With a bonus stop in Chatham, the city where the Dovetail studio resides.
If the departure from the station is scheduled for September 6, the game is called, like its predecessors, to expand with substantial content in the form of unitary DLCs, starting with Spirit of Steam, a mode that allows you to get your hands on illustrious steam engines of the previous century initiated with Train Sim World 2. Marketed under various content packs, Train Sim World 3 is already available for pre-order on all platforms. Note that the game will also be part of the Game Pass on Xbox and PC.
And for anyone who doubts it’s possible to tease a hip-hop train game, here’s proof to the contrary.
