Transneft says oil transit through Druzhba pipeline will resume on Wednesday

Aug 10 (Reuters) – Transneft, which has a monopoly on oil pipelines in Russia, said it planned to resume oil transit via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Moscow time (1300 GMT), Russian state news agency RIA reported.

According to RIA, Ukraine has acknowledged receipt of payment for the transit of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia through its territory.

Transneft said on Tuesday that Ukraine suspended oil deliveries through the Druzhba pipeline on August 4 due to payments blocked by Western sanctions. (Reuters report; French version Valentine Baldassari, editing by Kate Entringer)
