TGV, TER, RER and Transilien… Train traffic will be impacted on departure and arrival from Paris Est.

Notice to travellers: already marked by a complete shutdown at the end of January following a fire on cables in Seine-et-Marne, the Gare de l’Est in Paris will be “strongly impacted“This weekend, warns the SNCF. Significant disruptions are to be expected, on all the networks that cross this place, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February.

Work will thus disrupt traffic at the Paris station this Friday from 11 p.m. until Sunday at the end of the day. And there will be many disruptions. First, the TGV departing from and arriving from the Paris station to eastern France, Germany and Luxembourg will be interrupted. Scheduled arrivals and departures that daywill be exceptionally insured at Paris Nord station“, announces the SNCF, specifying however that only 60% of the TGVs of the usual offer will be able to circulate this weekend.

About the TER, traffic is interrupted in Châlons-en-Champagne and Paris Est. However, replacement buses are in place. RER And Transilien are not spared. RER E will not serve Haussmann Saint-Lazare station this weekend, and traffic will be suspended between Magenta and Chelles-Gournay all day Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 p.m. On line P, trains will not run between Paris Est and Meaux on Saturday and between Paris Est and Château-Thierry all weekend. Substitution buses are however provided, both for line E and for line P.

This work will take place between Bondy and Gagny, in Seine-Saint-Denis, as part of the modernization of the Ile-de-France rail network. The railway group teams will be “engaged in a real race against time», Underlines SNCF Réseau in a press release: they will only have 41 hours to replace 260 meters of track. The railway group invites its travelers to consult the information devices, and ensures to put “doing everything possible to inform and support public transport passengers in the Ile-de-France region“.
