Suitcase open, clothes in! But which pieces survive the journey wrinkle-free? We introduce you to five fabrics that should be part of every summer wardrobe.

Be honest: vacation is vacation and ironing is work. After a long journey, you don’t want to ask the hotel reception for an iron and ironing board, or even fiddle with the bulky steamer in the limited luggage. Relaxation definitely looks different, but you don’t want to do without stylish looks around the beach, sea and city. Fortunately, there are parts that survive the journey wrinkle-free.

Wrinkle-free on vacation: 1. Crinkle fabric

Crinkle is a real treat for any wardrobe! The airy and light fabric with a fine texture is particularly breathable thanks to its structure with folds and small elevations, because the small cavities created allow the air to circulate better. Definitely a plus in the heat! Since crinkle has creases by nature, the fabric cannot look unironed at all. Clever! Wrinkles make the charm here. Whether as a playful skirt, top or maxi dress: the easy-care fabric inspires.

2. Sequin Fumble

New Year’s Eve and Christmas are over. However, that doesn’t mean that our sequined robes stay in the closet. Whether for the evening or a stroll through the city, sequin styles breathe the necessary glamor and party flair into every look. On top: The pieces are so rigid due to the small, metallic tinsel parts that they cannot wrinkle at all. So, just combine an airy skirt with a sequined blouse, or a sequined skirt with a light top. The crease-proof glamor look is so easy.

3. Pleated pieces

Clever combination of fabrics with small creases: the classic skirts or dresses are made from a mixture of chiffon or silk. Both fabrics are particularly light at high temperatures — and just as easy to combine. From mini to maxi, pleated blinds are incredibly versatile and can be styled into different colors and textures. Due to the small creases, the models are practically impossible to wrinkle and should therefore never be ironed, as this changes the silhouette.

4. Crochet pieces

Airy meshes ensure passage. The crochet pieces are often made from thin cotton or linen threads and are not something for autumn or winter, despite the coarse knitted look. The trend is particularly popular on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest. There you can see the influencers: inside with the popular crocheted hat, in crop tops on the beach or even just in a crocheted bikini. The coarse-meshed styles look dreamy, romantic and give every look a slight boho touch.

5. Silk parts

Silk is one of the absolute lightweights among fabrics. The natural material allows easy moisture transport and allows the air to circulate as light as a feather. In addition, thanks to its soft and smooth texture, silk is extremely luxurious and pleasant on the skin. Silk tends to wrinkle less than other fabrics, making it ideal for travel. This paves the way to elegant appearances straight out of the case. Silk dresses are particularly popular this season. These emulate the “Sofia Richie” trend, as it is currently asserting itself on TikTok with cream-colored, subtle old-money looks.
