Travis Barker opens the doors and gives a glimpse into his dreamlike luxury villa in Calabasas, which he recently shares with his wife Kourtney Kardashian. But the spacious, elegantly styled property will not remain the couple’s home forever.

Travis Barker, 46, and Kourtney Kardashian, 43, each have their own villa that they can call home. The luxury homes in California are not far apart. But the two stars, who recently married, want a home together for their blended family. Until the time comes and Travis and Kourtney have discovered a new property, the “Blink 182” drummer gives an insight into his current love nest – and it’s something to be proud of.

In Barker’s home story with the architecture magazine “Architectural Digest”, the elegant and simple design of the villa is particularly striking. A strong contrast to the actual lifestyle of the musician. But for the 46-year-old, it was precisely this break that was so important, as he emphasizes. “I’ve had homes with lots of flashy cars, murals and bikes hanging from the ceiling. But with three kids of my own and Kourtney’s kids, this place felt right for this moment in my life. I wanted a house that I can rest and enjoy my family,” Barker said.

Pictures show, among other things, the living room overlooking the pool. The walls are decorated in a warm shade of cream and the room’s curtains are a calm beige. A sofa and two armchairs invite you to linger. A style that runs through the entire house. One of the highlights is the bright kitchen with white fronts and an imposing black marble top. Light-flooded rooms, warm colors and simple elegance were particularly important to the rocker. Only a few paintings and works of art, which Barker deliberately chose, offer a contrast.

The musician bought the property 15 years ago. Three years ago he decided to make the house a haven for himself, Kourtney and the kids and had it renovated from the ground up. However, the luxury property is not completely finished: As Travis Barker explains in the interview, he primarily wants Kourtney’s children to see his villa as their second home. “At the moment I’m planning to convert my home studio into a bunk room so that her children can feel comfortable here,” says the drummer.

The house in Calabasas is only an interim solution for the couple: “In the future we will probably wait until we find something better than what we have. Wherever we end up, we feel incredibly blessed and grateful.”
