Trend drink: three quick and easy ginger shot recipes

The ginger shot is currently considered the trend drink par excellence. Even if the taste may take some getting used to because of its pungency, ginger juice works wonders in terms of health. It boosts the metabolism, activates the immune system and is also beneficial for the stomach and intestinal flora. However, if you want to buy the drink in the supermarket, you have to dig deep into your wallet. The shot can be easily copied at home – in a variety of ways.

Lemon and ginger shot

Ingredients for ten shots: 8 lemons, 100 g ginger, 100 ml agave syrup, 200 ml water

Preparation: First squeeze the lemons well and collect the juice. Then peel the ginger and cut it into rough cubes. Put lemon juice, ginger, water and agave syrup in a blender and puree finely (also works with a blender). Finally, pour the ginger-lemon mixture into a clean glass bottle.

Ginger shot with apple and cayenne pepper

Ingredients for ten shots: 2 medium-sized apples, 2 limes, 100 g of ginger, 400 ml of water, 1 pinch of cayenne pepper

Preparation: Remove the core from the apples and cut into rough cubes. Squeeze the limes and collect the juice in a container. Peel the ginger and roughly dice it. Combine apple pieces, lime juice, ginger and water and mix finely. Finally, press the pureed mass through a fine sieve.

Ginger shot with tangerine and turmeric

Ingredients for ten shots: 8 small mandarins, 100 g ginger, 200 ml water, 1 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation: Squeeze the mandarins and catch the juice. Then remove the peel of the ginger and chop it into coarse cubes. Combine ginger and mandarin juice, add water and puree everything. Then stir in the turmeric powder and pour the liquid into a sealable glass jar.

The juices are kept in the refrigerator for several days. Shake everything well before use.
