A residential building project in Carinthia has an average of 21 residential units, with a usable living space of 74 m². Most apartments, in relation to the population, are built in Klagenfurt and Villach. Balconies, terraces and gardens are the most common features. Comparison of residential developers Commercial residential developers are in first place in Carinthia with a share of 80%. “With a focus on commercial developers and increasing demand for smaller apartments, a complex picture of the real estate market in the region is emerging. It will be exciting to see how these trends will develop in the coming years,” says Paul Perkonig, chairman of the real estate and asset trustees of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce. In the future, 1,720 residential units will be completed in 2023. The completion of 1,720 residential units in Carinthia is planned for the current year, and a much higher level is expected for 2024.
