Instead of scary outfits, two lovable film characters will delight at the Halloween parties this year.
This year, Halloween fans are apparently bringing two film characters to life at parties around the world on October 31st. We’re talking about Barbie and The Little Mermaid. Apparently no other costumes are selling better than the pink Barbie look and the shimmering mermaid outfit. A representative from “HalloweenCostumes.com” revealed to “TMZ” that “Barbie”-inspired looks in particular have sold nine times more than last year…
Successful cinema films
Greta Gerwig’s (40) “Barbie” film has broken one record after another since its theatrical release on July 20th. In addition to Ryan Gosling (42) as Ken, it was especially Margot Robbie (33) who embodied today’s Barbie in a funny and likeable way. But the modern Barbie is not just slim and blonde like the actress, the film shows how diverse Barbie can be – in terms of figure, hair or personality.
Halle Bailey (23) also caused a stir in “The Little Mermaid”. The actress reinvented the character and polarized her with her appearance on the big screen.
No wonder that many girls and women now more than ever identify with and want to embody modern interpretations of well-known characters. It doesn’t matter that this makes the scary day less scary.
