Trial in Graz – Ex-tractors demolished: War of the Roses in court

Separation with legal consequences: A woman from southern Styria accuses her ex-partner of damaging tractors and equipment on her property, threatening her and also wrongly denouncing her to the police. He sees it differently: his ex has always sought contact. “She has it all behind her ears!”

At the beginning of 2020, the relationship between two southern Styrians broke up, and the ensuing War of the Roses resulted in notifications, entry bans and lengthy court hearings. Yesterday the 59-year-old entrepreneur was again in the dock in Graz.

Hydraulic hoses punctured
His ex accuses him of threatening her in her paddock (“I will destroy your life and that of your children”) and also stabbed hydraulic hoses on their tractors – and he is said to have damaged other equipment on the farm. “I was afraid of him, he organized the purest psychological terror,” says the woman.

The accused denies everything: “She hates me like the plague and wants to put obstacles in my way.” Photos from a wildlife camera are supposed to prove that he was in the garage with the tractors. The defendant said, however, that his ex had brought him to check something on the tractor. The completely contrary statements of the former Liierte caused judge Sabine Pichler-Schadenbauer to frown. Further witnesses and an expert opinion on the wildlife camera photos should bring clarity – postponed.
