Already the third interruption due to the Covid
“This virus seems to have attached itself to us,” commented the president of the special assize court in Paris. “If everything goes normally, this would allow the hearing to resume next Tuesday. This implies that the state of health of the two defendants allows their appearance”, he indicated. Hearings scheduled for this week will resume next week. But, to make up for the accumulated delay, they will also take place on Mondays from April. The verdict will be delivered “the week of June 13 if all goes well”, announced Jean-Louis Périès.
The trial of the attacks of November 13, 2015 – which killed 130 people in Paris and Saint-Denis – began on September 8, 2021. But it has already been three times because of Covid contamination. Already in early January, the trial was suspended after the main defendant, Salah Abdeslam, tested positive for coronavirus.
