As of Tuesday (July 7th), the trial between the former couple Amber Heard (34) and Johnny Depp (57) has been taking place in London. As the British BBC now reports, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has vehemently denied any domestic violence against his ex-wife in court. Depp's lawyers are quoted as saying that what Heard says is "completely a lie".
The reason for the process is an article from the British tabloid "The Sun" from 2018 – therefore it also takes place in London. It claimed that Depp Heard hit. To investigate this, the Hollywood actor was interviewed as the first witness to the three-week trial. Among other things, he is said to have said that "whenever it escalated" he was the one who withdrew "before things got out of control." Instead, however, he was portrayed as "that monster" that made Heard terrified.
He is not a "monster"
That this is not the truth should be assured by other well-known stars in the process: On the one hand Depp's former partner and mother of his two children Lily-Rose Melody and John Christopher, the French singer Vanessa Paradis (47). And also his ex-girlfriend Winona Ryder (48, "Stranger Things") will testify in favor of Depp via video switch.
Depp and Heard had met while filming "The Rum Diary" (2011), followed in 2015 by the wedding. However, after only 15 months of marriage, Heard filed for divorce in May 2016. A public mud battle ensued, in which both raised serious allegations against the other.
