Whether you are a Julyist or an Augustist, summer necessarily rhymes with vacation. And if in August, you have not planned to leave, fortunately movies and series allow you to go on a little trip without moving from your sofa. For that, Netflix is your friend! The streaming platform seems to have not missed the train to the holidays, as many of its films and series are arriving and celebrating summer. Some are warm, others let glimpse a bit of sea air. Then there are those who, if they don’t make us sunbathe, really make us want a change of scenery. Just to make you want to go very far, whether it is windy or snowing, we have concocted a small Netflix selection of films and series that will arrive on the platform in August 2021 and which will make you change air without move from your couch.

“The Kissing Booth 3”: the last teenage summer
The Kissing Booth has been very successful since the first film was broadcast. So, inevitably, the streaming platform was not going to stop there and since then, a second film has been released. Do you already know the first two sections by heart? Do not panic. A bit of novelty is coming since the third installment will be available on Netflix on August 11, 2021. This new film promises pool, sea and romance with Elle who bids farewell to her high school years to best prepare for her new life at university . It’s a last teenage summer for our favorite characters!

“Mamma Mia: Here we go again”: direction Greece
Want to dance to ABBA? The sequel Mamma mia is available on Netflix. Mamma Mia! Here we go again reveals a little more about the youth of Donna, played by Meryl Streep, Sophie’s mother. This time, therefore, no wedding in preparation. But what does not change is the musical comedy atmosphere of the film with an original soundtrack always punctuated by the hits of ABBA. As for the setting, we don’t change the scenery either since the story still takes place on Kalokairi, the famous Greek parasdisiac island.

So summer will be hot on Netflix with the return of Valeria, Lola, Adrián, Víctor and all the others… We hope for a season where love triangle, sex, friendship and sorority will once again be there!
“Downtown Abbey”: the complete one on Netflix!
We finally know where to look at the integral of Downton abbey, cult British program. The series will be available on Netflix from August 15, 2021. All six seasons can be binge-watchered on the streaming platform and not only will it be an opportunity to travel for pennies in Yorkshire, UK. Better yet, it will be a trip back in time as the story follows a family living in the 1910s. Not to be missed!
