Acer showcased several particularly interesting computers at its annual [email protected] conference. We have discussed in recent days the Swift 3 Oled, a future consumer model with a quality-price ratio that seems worthy of interest to us, as well as a PC gaming offering a very innovative in-game stereoscopic 3D vision. The manufacturer also put another laptop gaming in the spotlight, the Predator Triton 300 SE, a sober, thin and light model, which has seen its configuration renewed with a new processor, but also an Oled panel!

An Oled panel to play

Still very rare on PCs gaming, this type of panel nevertheless provides an almost zero response time which can be important at stake, as well as an infinite contrast ratio which flatters the retina. Alas, they are currently quite limited with a refresh rate that caps at 90 Hz. On the Triton 300 SE, you will even have to settle for 60 Hz, but the 14-inch screen has a good 2.8K definition (2880 x 1800 pixels) and now switches to 16:10 format thanks to thin borders.

The design remains sober for a gaming PC.

The rendering is in any case very good and the PC frankly successful for who wants a neat and sober chassis without the aesthetics gamer usual. The computer will be offered with an Intel Core i9-12900H maximum and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. What to play, but also to work and take advantage of GPU hardware acceleration in compatible software.

A 16-inch version with IPS WQXGA (2560 x 1660 px) screen refreshed at 240 Hz and up to an RTX 3070 Ti will also be available to satisfy gamers looking for a larger display and better performance. Both PCs will hit the market in June and July, starting at €1,500 for the 14-inch Triton 300 SE and €1,600 for the 16-inch model. The Oled version could however arrive a little later, in the fall.
