Princess Kate (42) took part in the royal military parade “Trooping the Colour” in honour of King Charles III (75) on Saturday. Just a few hours earlier, on Friday afternoon, the wife of Prince William (41), who is suffering from cancer, confirmed that she will return to public life at the weekendOn the way from Buckingham Palace to the parade ground of Horse Guards Parade, Kate rode in a pompous carriage as befits her status and smiled warmly at the people. Also in the carriage: her children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6).

Due to the bad weather in London, those responsible chose a closed carriage, which meant that the ill Kate could only present herself to the people behind glass. Her husband Prince William, on the other hand, took part in the parade on horseback. The heir to the throne rode between his wife’s carriage and his father’s carriage in military uniform.

Princess Kate is still receiving chemotherapy

Princess Kate is currently continuing cancer treatment and is receiving chemotherapy. “I am making good progress but as anyone who undergoes chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak and tired and you need to let your body recover. But on the good days when you feel stronger you want to make the most of feeling good,” Princess Kate wrote about her return.

Prince William’s wife announced in March that she has cancer and is undergoing “preventive chemotherapy”. Since then, she has not attended any official events. For several weeks, there has been speculation that Kate might take part in “Trooping the Colour”.
